To provide technical and logistical assistance to communities or organizations in New York State interested in building coalitions or public-private partnerships for developing innovative oral health programs that improve access and utilization of dental care to reduce oral health disparities among underserved vulnerable populations. |
The Technical Assistance Center provides information and training to communities interested in developing innovative service delivery models. We will assist in designing mobile vans and dental care programs, training staff to work in their specific environments. In addition the Center will train staff in developing operating procedures, record keeping, database systems, billing procedures, and guidelines for clinical procedures. We will assist school based dental programs to integrate dental services into existing medical and other health programs. We will develop procedures to ensure coordination of services and communication among various groups.
