Dolores Cottrell-Carson, DDS, MSHA
Assistant Project Director

Dr. Cottrell-Carson has over 10 years experience working with programs which focus on meeting the dental needs of the underserved. She was dental director of Quality of Life Health Services in Gadsden, Alabama and also directed a county wide dental sealant program for the Jefferson County Department of Health in Birmingham, Alabama. While in Alabama, Dr. Cottrell-Carson served on the Health Advisory Boards for Head Start and Early Head Start and developed programs aimed at educating young mothers about their and their children’s oral health. Dr. Cottrell-Carson worked with the New York State Department of Health's Dental Bureau as a dental public health resident where she focused on programs and policy implementation. She will assist the TAC with the NY State Surveillance program and with the establishment of school-based mobile vans and portable outreach dental clinics.

Paula Fischer, RDH
Training & Education Coordinator

Ms. Fischer has 17 years of dental hygiene experience and is a member of ADHA, and is active in the Rochester Dental Hygienist Association. In the Spring of 2002, she contracted with RPCN to conduct oral health screenings on participating 3rd grade children in identified schools throughout Western New York and to collect data for the NYS Oral Health Surveillance Project. In May 2004 she joined the TAC staff to assist with training and education of the RDH Statewide for the NYS Oral Health Surveillance Project.

WillieMae Cliett
Program Assistant

Ms. Cliett was introduced to RPCN’s Oral Health Division as a member of the AmeriCorps/VISTA program in 2003, where she helped with the creation of the Oral Health TAC brochure and with the initiation of the Oral Health TAC Web site. She left for a short time to pursue other opportunities. Opon her return to TAC family she has been instrumental in database development and day to day operations for TAC.
